This morning I went to my first Lighten Up Lancaster County meeting! Its a coalition of concerns individuals all dedicated to increasing the number of adults and children at a healthy weight in Lancaster County, PA. It seems like a really dedicated, fun, and hard working group, and I’m really excited to be involved and help make a difference in my community! I basically just sat back and observed this morning to get an idea of the initatives that they are doing. I definitely want to be an active member and cant wait for the next meeting!
Then I did something really exciting… I went to the Social Security office and officially changed my name! I was in and out of the Social Security office in like 10 minutes, which I definitely wasn’t expecting. What a nice suprise! Afterwards I stopped home really quick to grab a granola bar then I was off to the DMV to get my name changed on my drivers license then I came home and changed my name on as many credits cards/accounts etc that I could. I’ve heard that changing your name can be seriously frusterating and a very long process, so I wanted to do as much as I could in one day.
All that only took me half the day, so I came home and had delicious leftovers for lunch. A few nights ago Jeremy made honey glazed chicken and quinoa pilaf. It was fabulous! I added some asparagus on the side.
Then… I baked bread. For the first time! I am very proud to say that it turned out awesome! I love it! I made a honey wheat flax bread. Oh yum. I can eat it plain without anything on it. I’ll probably make this bread on a regular basis from now on.
The dough hook! This is the first times its been used.
Then I made chocolate chip cookies… no suprise there… I feel an empty void when there are no cookies in our house. Oh I also did a little studying in there somewhere…
I’m so glad tomorrow is Friday! TGIF! Is it me or did this week fly by?!
