Well, we have had quite the eventful 24 hours! Last night we went to Jeremy’s brother and sister-in-law’s house for a movie night. Jeremy made Sriracha Jalapeno Poppers. I like spicy, but these were waaaayyy too spicy for me. In the few moments before the spice really hit me, I could tell that the flavors were amazing, but once the spice hit, it was all I could think about. I needed milk. Stat. Everyone else loved them.
So we were driving home after the movie, and we were about a block away from our house when we noticed a car driving in the middle of the road with his lights off. I flashed my lights at him and he proceeded to swerve CLOSER to me! I laid on my horn, and swerved out of the way. We were lucky… a car on the other side of the road wasn’t. The guy plowed into the back of another car… AND THEN KEPT GOING! I’m 99% sure the driver was drunk. We called 911 and reported the hit and run. It was pretty scary when he was swerving towards us though!
This morning, I did not go to the gym, like I had said I would 😦 I woke up and I was just not feeling it. I know I probably should have forced myself to go since I need to get back in to the routine of going, but I knew we were going to have a very full day, and there were things I needed to get done around the house. Like hang a new mirror in our bedroom!
Friday was my moms birthday, so today we went out for lunch for her birthday! Both of our families live within 1.5 hours away from us. We’re pretty lucky in that aspect. We went to an amazing Latin-Seafood-Fusion restaurant. I got vegetable paella and Jeremy got the red snapper with quinoa and crab meat enchiladas. Delicious!
Here is my lovely mom!

My vegetable paella. Amazing!
After lunch, we drove right back to Lancaster and went straight to Jeremy’s work “Christmas Party.” They always have it later in January since the holidays are always so crazy. It’s really nice that way, actually. We went bowling. I did horribly. The first game I bowled a less than 60. I’ll be nice and say I bowled a 55. Oof. My second game I did better and actually broke 100.
After bowling we went to a fancy schmancy restaurant called the Cork and Cap. The food was delicious. The bar was open. The only thing that would have made it better is if it was on a Saturday night instead of a Sunday night. We had bangin mashed potatoes, green beans, an AMAZING fish dish, and pork.
It was super dark in the restaurant, so I took this picture and then put my camera away because I knew I wasn’t going to get any good pictures. We had a fabulous time, though.
Now, I am off to bed to rest up for my 11 hour day at school tomorrow!
